Connectivity issue on Tikona

Tikona User ID: 1106176159 I am a subscriber of Tikona wireless broadband from April 2012. In the mid of July I faced the connectivity issue. After complaining a lot of times and registered a disconnection request on 1-Sep-2012, the issue got solved but the disconnection request is still in progress. After one month, the same issue started again from 20th Oct 2012. I registered a complaint on 22-Oct-2012. Till date(27-Oct-2012) they have taken no action. On 26-Oct-2012, I have mailed regarding this issue to s.nair@tikona.in, till now no response. On calling their tool-free number, I was informed every time that the complaint is in progress and will get resolved within 24hrs. This is the worst ISP in India I ever seen.

This is about your query dated 8th. May 2013, for action to be taken in view of the intimation of the customer care of the Company. You have not indicated when the call was received by you from the Police Station and when did you contact the Customer Care? Please clarify. It is highly unlikely that the Company will bother you for recovery of a sum of Rs. 1600 even if it is assumed to be due. Please do not react on telephone calls. Only if a written Notice is received by you it would be necessary to respond.

After a long effort Tikona has been disconnected on Nov 2012. I have returned the modem on mid of Dec 2012. I have attached the receipt of device recovery in this post. Today I got a call from 011-48121350 stated that Tikona has filed a case against me for the outstanding amount of Rs.1500/-. The person who called said that he was calling from Uttam Nagar Police Station and I have to go there. When I called on 18002094276 (Tikona Customer Care), they said the same amount as outstanding. When I said that I have already returned the device and can produce the receipt, the CS person told to ignore the call and the database will be updated. Why Tikona did not verify whether the device is returned or not before filed the case. If I will get any more call for the same, I will file a case against Tikona. Other members on this forum, Please tell me the procedures to file a consumer case against Tikona.

Your problem regarding disconnection will be solved by the Company. Please send an email again to the Nodal officer with copy to this Forum and TRAI.
